Isa's Daisy Party

Isa is hosting a Daisy Party next Saturday. What is that you ask? A party for a "Daisy" to sell Girl Scout Cookies to her friends, of course. All of the First Grade Girls in our neighborhood + a few other special friends were given "Daisy" invitations (that's about 25 girls, in case you're wondering!) inviting them to a "Daisy Party Late-Over." The girls are coming over from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. and will be wearing their pajamas. We will have different stations set up through-out the house: make-up, tattoos, Dance Party Wii game, Bounce House, arts and crafts, ect....All of the girls will be divided into smaller groups with 1 older 4th or 5th grader serving as their leaders. They will rotate between the stations, enjoy some pizza and cupcakes, and take home some of the favors that we made for them as a thank you for supporting the Daisy troop. The favors are shown above. Each girl will get a name tag, a refrigerator magnet, and a "Love Notes". The Love Notes will contain special encouraging and kind messages written from the other girls within their group. I'm always about inflating girls' self-esteem so this was my effort at doing so.
The ideas were either taken or adapted from the following websites:

Thankful Thursday

It seems only fitting that the person I'm most thankful for is my husband, Bill! He's been sick since Sunday, barely functioning, and it's really opened my eyes how much we need and miss him when he isn't around. I don't know how single parents do it! My hats are off to all of you! Thank you, honey, for all that you do for us!

Updated new look for a new year!

Since way back when in 2008, we have since added a new member to our family! Tyler Trent Magato was born October 15, 2010! I'm going to make another attempt to update our family blog regularly. However, one of my New Year's Resolutions was to create a little more balance in my life. So, instead of only posting about my children and our family, I will be posting random thoughts, inspirations, favorite meals and books, and just about anything else my heart desires! I love to write and share with others so this is another attempt at doing so. A friend of mine calls her "love language": gift giving and I'd like to say that mine is too. It isn't always a creative neatly packaged gift, but I love to give of my time, talents and treasures to my friends and family.

I re-named the blog to allow myself the freedom to write about "this" and "that". So I present to you the newly re-named and re-created blog, "The Magato Family.....A Little Bit of This and That!"
